There are many ways to manage product attributes in Setary, we describe the general maitenance of product attributes management here.
This how to goes into how to bulk edit product attributes, this is slightly different to the general maintenance of products, but be sure to read the above post first to get you familiar with product attributes in Setary as it’s a bit different to WooCommerce, but hopefully a lot more intuitive.
Video Example
In this example, we show how to filter products by simple products, and Tshirts category. We then save the view for when we refresh the data later.
We then bulk select the products in our scope and append 2 attributes to each product. Notice we duplicate green and this shows once we apply.
Once we save it’s all successful, but here we prove that if you make a mistake, it doesn’t matter, so we now refresh and re-select our view.
We then show that the duplicate attribute is no longer there (green).
Bulk adding attributes to a products
Currently if you had 10 simple products that all need a new colour applying to them as an attribute, you would need to go into each product individually, go to Attributes > Attribute in question and then manually add the attribute and then save. This is extremely slow and laborious.
All you want to do is simply apply to all products that fit the criteria.
This is super simple in Setary.
- Create your product criteria first
- Select all that apply
- Click Bulk edit
- Append to
- Enter attribute(s), Making sure you use a space*pipe*space and then attribute. ” | attribute”
- Apply
You’re done, this is super simple way of adding attributes to a product.
You can also clear, set and find and replace attributes.
Bulk removing attributes to a products
Using the same format as the above, you can also use a “replace” value type.
This way you could have “red” attributes that you’d like to remove, simply Search and then Replace using the input first provided. The Replace field would just be left blank in this case.
Have you got a bulk attribute task you’d like to complete? Do reach out to use and we can help you find a way to accomplish your task but the above should cover most use-cases we see day to day whilst managing WooCommerce product data.
