Imagine that you want to add a couple of extra t-shirt sizes to every product. Without Setary, this would require going into each product, adding a variation and setting the attribute for that variation – very slow and cumbersome! Luckily, Setary makes this quick and easy as you can add and manage WooCommerce product variations from a simple spreadsheet editor

Shopify note: Variations are called variants on Shopify. The steps are identical.

How to add WooCommerce product variations in bulk:

  1. Click Add
  2. Select the number of variations you want to add, then click Add.
  3. Change the first type to variation and then click and drag down to apply to all.
  4. You then need to set the Parent ID for each.
  5. You then simply need to apply the attributes and prices for each.
  6. Click save and you’re done.

Remember to use the drag down to save time when applying these changes. Bulk all attributes together to save time. Also, when applying the Parent ID, you can copy all the IDs together and then paste into the cells, rather than one by one.

We hope you’re just bulked out your product catalogue in a matter of minutes.
